  • Charlotte's last scene in Charlotte's Web (1973) Tried to find this scene the other day and the only video I could find was low quality and only contained the song. So I made a video that had more of the scene with better quality, mainly for myself. If other people enjoy it then all the better.

So, I have no idea why this is being recommended to so many people recently. My only guess is YouTube did something stupid with how it recommends videos recently.

The fact that she hid on top of the banister so Wilbur wouldn't have to see her corpse is some real shit. Man, I love this movie.

I remember when she said, "I don't have the strength to come down and climb into the box" and then she comes down everyone in my fifth grade class was screaming, "HE CAN CARRY YOU!"

this was one of those movies that taught kids about life without ruining their innocence and giving off pessimistic messages.

As a child, I never quite understood this scene; but, as someone about to enter their 20's, wow! This brought me to tears in the most wonderful way.

What if Charlotte faked her death so she didn't have to raise her kids?

Hmm. This scene was sad to me when I was a child, but only because Charlotte was dying. I saw it today and it had so much more meaning on a deeper level. This is a real, true friendship between Wilbur and Charlotte. It was nice to see this as an adult and see how real this stuff is!

What always got me to crying in this scene was not necessarily Charlotte's death, but simply the sheer grace and dignity she had in her final moments.

I'm friends with the woman who did charlottes voice in this film . She's every bit as sweet as the character.
