Danny DeVito put in some serious work, to make this movie. He was the director, co-writer, narrator, and had a large role, etc., and he did an amazing job at all of it. Talented guy, no doubt. I love this movie.

Why was Matilda's mom wearing sunglasses inside, in a dark room, while watching TV?

Well, the TV is stolen so he didn't deserve the TV in the first place.

You're fed up with Matilda reading? Well I'm fed up with you acting like a two-bit, lowlife, bum, Wormwood! You're a human being, it's time you started acting like one!

Harry is right, dinner time is family time but seriously, when did he ever consider Matilda a part of the family?

You know just because he wanted Matilda to watch to and spend time with the family doesn't mean he shouldn't be ripping up a library book and treating her like a brat then maybe she wouldn't have glued his hat, his hair and destroyed the TV.

I think Matilda prefers reading books a whole lot better than watching TV because she loves reading. I prefer to watch TV than read books because it's much faster than spending hours, reading a book. Anyway, it's Matilda's decision. If she wants to read, then she can. She made the TV blow up. She deserved to do it because she hates listening to her family laughing at the figure, getting sticky.

"Moby WHAT?!" "DICK!" And when Matilda blows up the TV (with her powers of course), that's what her father Harry gets for ripping the pages out of the library book. Why should Matilda have to pay the fine for a replacement library book when Harry is the one who did it? The book was checked out in her name from her library card. Oh and when she says she didn't blow up the TV, that's one lie so her parents believe her because they didn't know she had powers, but she first realized it later when she tricks her father into yelling at her and then she magically slams her room door shut and locks it.
