Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Jamaica mourns the passing of Comedian and media personality, Elva Rudduck Popular Comedienne and media personality, Elva Ruddock, has passed away, after battling lupus for several years. Ruddock, who for quite some time was a daily staple on local television, was hospitalised a few weeks ago, and succumbed to the disease on Sunday Morning October 7 at the Kingston Public Hospital. News of her de@th has rocked the media and theatre world. Ruddock reportedly was afflicted by the chronic autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks its own healthy tissues. The disease can cause inflammation throughout the body, including the skin, joints, brain, lungs, heart, blood cells and kidneys. Ruddock, is best known for her larger than life personality, and was a former columnist with the Jamaica Observer and its defunct evening publication Chat!. Her other media exploits included host of Fame FM's Full House Fridays and co-host of the popular infomercial for the Bashco stores with Omar Azan. Elva often told the story of how she came by the name Hero Duck. She said she once made a purchase at an establishment and told the cashier that her name as E. Ruddock. Well, when she got the receipt, the name Hero Duck was written on it. Being true to her personality she adopted the name Hero Duck.
