  • Corbett Report Podcast #253 For much of its 80 year existence, the BBC has been criticized by those who believe it to be an insidious mixture of political and cultural power, and now in the wake of the Jimmy Savile scandal, the British public is once again outraged at their national broadcaster. Join us today on The Corbett Report as we examine the history, function, and institutional biases of the BBC, and how the British people are rising up against the Big Brother Corporation.

We in England are Forced to pay every year for a tv licence. 150 pounds to watch your own tv. We pay for the big execs to swan off on holiday, and the employees ( the so called celebrities) get a job for life basically, and when they get too old, a member of their family takes over! It shows the British public what it wants to show, and its as State run as as North Korea. We are fined and imprisoned for non payment of tv licence, is that DEMORCRATIC??

My favorite was the BBC's staged "chemical weapons attack" in Syria.

There's no justification now for the existence of the BBC - and there never was.

The British Government's fear of the pirate radio ships was a fear of free, uncontrolled, unrestricted speech - Kids listening to Radio 1 have no idea that they are listening to a Government approved message.

Yes the White Helmets and their child snuff videos. You wouldn't be able to pick up a cadaver when it's been killed by the deadly nerve agent sarin. They showed white helmets putting dead and dying on the back of a wagon, with the carriers wearing normal clothes. They would have to wear full hazmat suits for protection, or they would have been dead themselves.

I grew up in Northern Ireland and saw events on the streets turned upside-down by the BBC. I now notice the MSM in the US using posh British accents to spread lies. They have the necessary gravitas in their voices to fool the yanks.

I stopped listening to NPR with any seriousness once I realized what being heavily funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation actually means.

This guy should get millions of followers but the world is too stupid and they rather pay attention to the other end of the spectrum. People are more bothers about Justins beibers life then they are of their own, crazy mad world we live in....

Disgusting, absolutely disgusting. Lets not forget the BBC exists purely because it extorts money from the British public under threat of being fined massive amounts of money. I am fairly convinced that climate change is happening, and I am quite convinced that us humans with our cars and beef farms are playing a big part in it, but trying to have some fake panel of amateurs secretly close the debate is just unacceptable. As for the rest of what they have done (and still do), I don't even know what to say.

Jimi Savile's success was just baffling. sort of like the band U2. Nobody likes them and yet they are inexplicably "popular".

I find it amusing when watching RT.com I the language demands a reasonable level of literacy. Then when I switch to the BBC News, the language dumbs down noticeably. Not a comment, just a fun observation :-)
