Gemma Collins has agreed to return to the Radio 1 Teen Choice Awards despite threating to sue them after she plummeted through a trapdoor on stage last year.   As well as signing up to Dancing on Ice this year, Gemma danced with death last October while presenting Love Island with the award for Best TV Show.   Just days after the accident the TOWIE star told The Sun that her life flashed before her eyes as she stepped back onto a moving platform carrying Love Island stars Amber Davies , Jamie Jewitt and Marcel Somerville .   Gemma Collins says boyfriend James 'Arg' Argent better think about proposing soon: 'I'm not getting any younger'  The crowd were left stunned as she struggled to retract her arms and legs from the trapdoor in the stage which was quickly reducing in size.  But the star retracted her comments about legal action - which she threatened last year - by agreeing to give the awards ceremony another chance to show her a good time.  And this time she'll be steering clear of the moving floor no doubt.   James 'Arg' Argent set for post-rehab TOWIE comeback as he's spotted filming with girlfriend Gemma Collins  A ceremony source said: "Although it was genuinely scary for Gemma, it was a massive talking point and it's only helped her profile grow.  "Radio 1 of course wanted to invite her back and make amends for what happened and she jumped at the opportunity."  Millions watched clips of the incident online from various angles after it was filmed by members of the crowd.  Speaking to The Sun after the fall she said: "I'm in total shock, it is a miracle I am living to tell the tale.  I could have died or at least been disabled by the end of it. I could have been legless. Legless!  "I'm not being funny, I didn't even get a tenner for turning up. I didn't even know there was a hole there."  But the TOWIE star has seen her career take number of different directions as she later appeared on Celebrity MasterChef this year and has now signed up to appear on Dancing on Ice.   She has also racked up her reality TV show air miles by appearing on Big Brother and I'm a Celebrity.  The BBC Radio 1 ceremony is set to take place on Sunday October 21 at Wembley's SSE Arena in London.  Little Mix, Sigrid, Liam Payne, Not3s, 5 Seconds of Summer, HRVY, Jack & Jack, Jonas Blue and Mabel will also be in attendance.
