Sorry, I don't believe you can finalize a DVD without the remote control.

If I made a dvd and didn't finalize the dvd.  Is it possible to put the DVD back into the system and finalize it afterwards?

I have one. They are not cheap. Mine was almost $500 dollars. I got it years ago from Best Buy as a birthday present. Well worth the money though.

I also have a Magnavox, and everything is fine until the finalizing. Seems when I keep pressing Setup, the setup screen isn't popping up so I can't finalize the disc. Help?

Hi I enjoyed your video's . I was wondering if you could tell me how to record from the TV to DVD. using this same combo recorder? I did record a TV show but I can not play it back on anything else except for the TV using the recorder. I used a DVD-R to record and did finalize it. Still can not get it to play on my computer or DVD players Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong. thank you have a nice day  Debbie

The only thing it cannot do is transfer commercially released VHS tapes to DVD because of Copy Protection.
